Marion County Auditor Jake Grandia reminds voters to make sure they’re registered and their registration information is correct as we get closer to the November general election. You can check and update your registration at the Secretary of State’s website. Same-day registration is available on Election Day, but being pre-registered allows things to go smoother at polling sites.
Grandia says that they’re lining up and training precinct election officials right now and are in full election mode. Requests for absentee ballots are being taken now and can be made at a number of places, including online or at the auditor’s office. Absentee ballots will begin being sent out next Thursday, September 27th.
