Around 180 people registered to run and even more showed up to show support during the Nana Jana Fun Run this morning at Dan-D Farms. Jordan Angove won the 5k race, which includes a variety of obstacles, in a time of 23:37. Kaeline Schuenke was the top female finisher in 27:19. Dan-D Farms owner Dan Dennison organizes the race. It started last year as a way to make women and families aware of ovarian cancer and its vague symptoms. Dennison, who lost his wife Jana to ovarian cancer in 2010, says that early detection is the best way to fight the disease. The Big Red Radio was also at the Nana Jana Fun Run this morning, serving as the information and announcement center. It also played some music for the runners and the crowd.
