Architects from Civil Design Advantage presented the planned layout for the future Pella Sports Park. The park will be based around a central hub, with concessions and restrooms. Five fields of varying sizes will surround that central hub. Those fields will be constructed in the first phase of the project, with 8 more fields planned for the future. There will also be one of three large utility fields built in the first phase. These fields can be used for a variety of sports. Civil Design Advantage as well as city staff traveled to other sports parks to get an idea of what works and what doesn’t, and to make sure that Pella’s Sports Park stands out from the rest.
