Despite winning the time of possession and out gaining the Britons 412 to 288 in total offensive yardage, the Central College football team was unable to make up for a number of miscues in a 35-16 rain-soaked defeat at Albion College.  The Dutch committed four turnovers to the Britons one, and were flagged for eight penalties.

On the ground, Josh Osborn led the Central offense with 118 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries.  Quarterback Jack Flaherty started four-of-four on Central’s opening drive, but finished 9-for-16 with 84 yards and three interceptions with one score.  Aaron Eiseler also spent some time at signal-caller, competing 8-of-9 passes for 82 yards.  Brandon Boerm was the top receiver for the Dutch, catching five passes for 53 yards.

The Central football team is now 1-2 overall in non-conference play, but open up the league schedule this Saturday against the defending Iowa Conference Champions – the University of Dubuque.  The Spartans had Saturday off and are also 1-2.
