Following what felt like a “breakthrough performance” of sorts in their 35-7 win over Carlisle on Friday, the Pella High football team enters this week of practice feeling good about their prospects for the future and preparing for their next contest.  Much of the success on offense for the Little Dutch on Friday night can be attributed to the offensive line.  Pella head coach Jay McKinstrey says his blockers are really coming together as a unit, and the return to the team’s offensive style of previous seasons seems to have created a greater level of comfort in games and practices.  The Little Dutch are 3-2 overall and off to a 2-0 start in Class 3A District 8.  It’s Homecoming this week at Pella High, capped off with Friday night’s game against Chariton.
