Four swimmers from Pella High School helped the NCMP swim team finish third at Saturday’s Valley Tiger Tanker in West Des Moines. Valley and Waukee took the top two spots, with NCMP placing in front of teams from Cedar Rapids Washington, Lewis Central and Sioux City Metro.

Among the highlights for the local swimmers were a second place finish by the 200-Meter Freestyle Relay that included Samantha Hedrick; which Hedrick complimented with a third-place finish in the 400-Meter Freestyle Relay. She also finished third as an individual in the 100-Meter Freestyle. The team will swim again Tuesday in a dual against Marshalltown.
