The Knoxville Alumni Association is getting ready for their homecoming celebrations. Their annual meeting is on Friday at the National Guard Armory from 11:30am-1pm. The meeting used to be Saturday morning, but organizer Pennie Sommar says that many groups and classes meet Saturday individually, doing anything from golfing to wine-tasting and other activities. They hope the Friday meeting boosts attendance. They’re also holding their annual dance from 8pm-midnight at the armory Friday. Sommar says volunteers are welcome to help set up Thursday at 10am.
