Katheryne Todd received one year of probation today after she pled guilty to obtaining a prescription medication without having a prescription in Marion County District Court. That’s a serious misdemeanor conviction. The 51-year-old Knoxville woman had previously been charged with conspiracy to obtain a controlled substance through fraud, a Class “C” felony, in a drug diversion case earlier this year. According to court documents, Todd admitted to receiving prescription medication from others that she did not have a prescription written for. Another felony – conspiracy to commit insurance fraud – was dropped.

Charges still remain open in the related case against Christina Boosalis.
