PCM will be hosting a Clarke squad who’s looking to bounce back after dropping four straight, most recently, a 58 – 0 shutout at the hands of Bondurant-Ferrar; however, tonight the 3 – 4 Mustangs are taking everything they’ve done and focused on the first seven games of the season and are throwing all of that out the window. Suffering a devastating ankle injury last week, PCM quarterback, Nate VandeWaal, will be out of action for the game this evening, and maybe for the season. Mustangs head coach, Greg Bonnett, said that the offense on the field tonight will look much like the offense they’ll be running next year. “We’ve pretty much put in an entirely new offense,” Bonnett said. “It’s going to look a little bit more like what we’re going to look like next year. We’ve had a lot of preparation to do in terms of getting ourselves ready, and now it’s time to go out there and play Clarke, and put some of that execution into play. It’ll be the same thing going into the next two weeks. We’ve got to focus on getting ourselves better rather than worry about the other two teams.” Starting in the quarterback position tonight will be wide receiver, Zach Uhlenhopp. Coach Bonnett also said that his team will be running some option and triple option plays tonight. The Class 2A District 6 matchup will be streamed live at kniakrls.com, with Justin Webster on the call. Pregame starts at seven with kickoff slated for 7:30.
