The Iowa DNR has recently completed a study on the fish of Robert’s Creek. On Monday evening the DNR along with the Red Rock Lake Association took a survey of the fish using lights and shocking equipment. The study was a follow up to the release of Walleye Fry into the waterway, which came back with disappointing results. While most other species came back with strong numbers and large fish, the Walleye numbers were low. Ben Dodd with the IDNR thinks this could be because the Walleye were brought in from North Dakota, and the trip may have put stress on the fish.
