Knoxville City Manager Harold Stewart tells KNIA/KRLS News that they will interview five finalists for the fire chief position in Knoxville at the end of the month. All five candidates come from out-of-state. They’ll be in Knoxville on November 29th before interviewing on November 30th. Stewart says he hopes to have the Knoxville City Council ratify an offer during the December 3rd meeting. Knoxville has been without a permanent fire chief since February. EMS Coordinator Greg Higginbotham has been serving in the interim position during that time.

The five finalists are:
– Nicholas Bonstell (Holland, MI)

– Michael Bracualt (Albuquerque, NM)

– Mark Finnochio (Denver, CO)

– Jeremy Henthorn (Sitka, AK)

– Robert Wirtz (Yorkville, IL)

KNIA/KRLS will continue to keep you updated as the search for the Knoxville Fire Chief evolves.
