A former Knoxville resident has been charged with two counts of Second Degree Sexual Abuse more than 15 years after it allegedly occurred. 48-year-old Kenneth Rivers was arrested last week after being accused of inappropriately touching a five-year-old child at his Knoxville home in 1997. Rivers now has a What Cheer, IA address. He’s currently in the Marion County Jail, and bond has been set at $50,000. Each count carries a maximum sentence of 25 years. He’ll appear in court for a preliminary hearing later this month.
