The Marion County Fair Board has pledged $10,000 per year for the next five years to the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum’s Expand the Dream project. That’s according to Hall of Fame and Museum Director Bob Baker. Expand the Dream was announced last year at the Hall of Fame. It’s a $3.3 million comprehensive fundraising campaign aimed at the construction of an enhanced showroom and storage facility as well as a short-term growth of the organization’s endowment fund. Baker tells KNIA/KRLS News that he’s very excited about the support coming from the Fair Board. He says that the Fair Board and Knoxville Raceway have been important partners for the Hall of Fame and Museum and were instrumental in its creation. He’s looking forward to the continued partnership as they move forward with the Expand the Dream project.
