The drought has held steady since last week, although it is at its least severe level since it began over summer. In Marion County we are still in severe drought, after months of being in an extreme drought. Much of the northwest of the state is in extreme drought still. But eastern Iowa is faring much better, with a large area in the least severe drought designation. All of the state is still in some level of drought. There are some light rain showers in the forecast, on Saturday evening, and on Monday morning.
