The PCM Mustangs’ basketball teams will be playing the first of three games this week starting tonight when they host South Hamilton in a Heart of Iowa Conference doubleheader. The Mustangs’ boys are flawless at this point in the year, and in their last two games, have shown a great defensive effort and have also hit the boards hard, grabbing 105 total in three games. South Hamilton is 1 – 1 on the year, led by senior John Hegland, who is shooting 81% from the field through two games and averaging 24 points per game. The Mustangs’ girls have started slow with a 1 – 3 mark, but have a chance to bounce back and get a win against a South Hamilton girls’ team that has only scored 33 points in its first two games, and most recently, they lost to Nevada 64 – 6. The girls’ and boys’ games tipoff at 6:00 p.m. tonight.
