A Knoxville woman was sentenced to three years of probation Friday after a jury determined she had altered her prescription. Victoria Goemaat was found guilty in November of Prohibited Acts for a 2011 incident. According to court records, a pharmacy in Knoxville refused to fill Goemaat’s prescription of Lortab when it appeared to be altered. The prescription showed 75 pills; Goemaat’s physician confirmed to police that she was only supposed to receive 15. Goemaat also had a 10-year prison sentence suspended during Friday’s sentencing.
