Setting a school record for wins in a season and making the Class 1A girls’ regional final also for the first time in school history, the Twin Cedars’ girls’ basketball team had a lot to take out of the 2012-13 campaign. In an interview to be heard on this Saturday’s Hy-Vee Radio Coaches Corner, Coach Justin Nolte recalled his team’s game in December against Albia as one that most represented his squad’s season as a whole. Twin Cedars won the game in overtime, 75 – 72 after having a 48 – 30 lead at the end of the third period. The Sabers finished the season with a record of 21 – 4.
