The long wait between seasons can make anybody anxious to get out onto the field and play, and this is especially true for the Central baseball team. After one of their best seasons in program history, Coach Adam Stevens said his guys during practices are sick of playing against one another and are ready to get out and play some competition this week. The Dutch will have the opportunity to show everyone what they have on Thursday when they travel down to Fort Myers, Florida for a four-game trip against Illinois, Heidelberg, Newbury and Olivet. Stevens said that they narrowly missed the NCAA tournament with an at-large bid because of strength of schedule, so they will be playing some stiff competition for their non-conference games this year.
