A boil order for New Sharon that took effect Monday was lifted Friday. Local Hy-Vees contributed 4,800 gallons of water Monday and Tuesday to residents of New Sharon affected by the boil alert. Mahaska County Emergency Management Coordinator Jamey Robison tells KNIA/KRLS News that he is grateful for the contributions and he is hopeful for the future. Pella Hy-Vee Manager Scott Johnson says it is important to Hy-Vee to help out communities in need. Oskaloosa and Grinnell Hy-Vees also contributed.
