The Knoxville City Council will have a discussion regarding urban chickens during their regular meeting this evening. The City has been approached by at least two people who are interested in changing city code to allow a small number of chickens to be kept in yards. Urban chickens are typically used for egg production. The Council will also vote on appointing several new members to the Fire and Rescue Department. The meeting starts at 6:15 at City Hall. It can be heard live on 1320 KNIA.
