The Central women’s basketball team did finish in last in the Iowa Conference this past season, but they did accomplish a few things that had not been achieved in quite some time. They had double digits in wins for the first time since the 2003-04 season, and they had the fewest losses since ’01-’02. Coach Mike Jacobsma says that though the team is steadily improving, he’s excited about this winter with who he has coming back. The Dutch women have an interesting non-conference schedule before the calendar turns to 2014 and to league play. They will be joining the men down in Puerto Rico shortly after the Christmas holiday for two days of games.
