The Pella city council held their regular meeting last night. All local businesses up for approval of their alcohol and cigarette sales passed without incident including BillyJaks, Pella Excita Bowl, Bos Landen, and various Casey’s General Stores. A resolution for the Hazel Street Reconstruction Project passed with an expected completion date in September. The City of Pella also agreed to a five year extension with the Convention and Visitors Bureau, and the “Fourth of July Activities” will go on as in past years, with events throughout the city planned, including a parade during the day, and fireworks at dusk.
