Some final details are being tied together as RAGBRAI’s arrival in Knoxville nears. RAGBRAI volunteers can pickup their volunteer packets from 3-7pm today at City Hall. Beginning at 5pm Tuesday, the following roads will be closed – First, Second, Third, and Fourth Streets from Montgomery to Marion; Main and Montgomery Streets from Roche to Fourth; and Robinson Streets from Fourth Street west. Robinson Street will reopen Thursday at 2pm, while all other roads will reopen Thursday at 2am. Knoxville City Hall and the Marion County Courthouse are also closed Wednesday. Downtown business owners, employees, and volunteers are asked to park in the Marion Street area north of the square. Parking passes will be needed to access that area – stop by the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce to get a pass.
