Next week is Iowa Private College Week, and Central College will welcome approximately 500 high school students, parents, and guests to their campus. Sessions will begin at 9 am and 1:30 pm in the Graham Conference Center each day. During the sessions, students will be invited to tour academic buildings, residence halls and athletic facilities. Faculty members and coaches will be available to meet with interested students, and on the schedule is a student panel where Central students will answer questions about college life. Carol Williamson, Dean of Admission at Central, says that employers and graduate schools are looking for students willing to go beyond their required courses and Central students are well prepared in this way. All visiting students will receive a free Central Dutch T-shirt and have the application fee waived if they decide to apply to the college. 26 Iowa non-profit colleges and universities will participate in Iowa Private College Week.
