Do you know someone stricken with dementia? Most people do. On August 13th and 14th, Pella Regional Health Center and Vriendschap Village are sponsoring three seminars by Lanny Butler, a licensed occupational therapist and author of the book, “A Practical Guide to Dementia Possible Care.” All presentations will be held at Third Reformed Church and are free and open to the public. Butler offers a practical approach to dementia with many examples of how to maintain skills, deal with problem behaviors, and challenge people to live a full life. Butler has worked as an educator, consultant and therapist for more than 38 years, with the past 25 years dedicated to serving the elderly.
