Two NASCAR champions will be in Knoxville this week racing go-karts and raising money for charity. Tony Stewart and Jeff Gordon will be at Slideway’s taking part in heat races as part of a fundraiser for “Kick-It for Cancer.” That charity is part of the Jeff Gordon Children’s Foundation. Both drivers will take part in heat races against 68 other people who have made donations to the charity. The highest finishers in each heat will also get to take part in Friday’s “Kick-it” kickball tournament. The go-kart event takes place from 2-to-4pm Wednesday and is open to the public.
