The final week of a four week traffic enforcement initiative by the Pella Police Department begins today. Officers will continue cracking down on seat belt, speed and OWI violations, along with pedestrian traffic and the local ordinance restricting “K” turns. Lt. Paul Haase says the initiative is phase one of a proactive approach to optimize public safety, and promote positive driving behaviors.
