A legends car race this past week at the Knoxville Raceway honored fallen police officers and lent support to their families. The Fourth Annual Fallen Heroes Memorial Race returned to the Knoxville Raceway as part of their evening race program. The event is put on in part with Concerns of Police Survivors, or C.O.P.S. That’s an organization that provides resources to survivors of officers killed in the line of duty. The race has helped provide nearly $20,000 in funding for C.O.P.S. Those dollars help in sending children and spouses to camps and retreats where they can spend time with counselors and other families that are going through or have gone through the grieving process.
