Staff at Twin Cedars will go through an active shooter program Tuesday as they prepare for the new school year. The Marion County Sheriff’s Office will be assisting the district in ALICE training. ALICE stands for Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, and Evacuate. Twin Cedars High School Principal Dave Roby says that the exercise will help teach staff about how to be proactive in an active shooter situation. This is information that teachers can pass along to students during future drills. He adds they will be as ready as possible to handle such a situation if it arises.
