The Pedal Power Pull held last week at the Iowa State Fair drew many contestants, and saw three Marion County residents claim championships. In the girls 5-year-old division, Natalia Plate of Pella claimed 1st place with a pull of 27 feet, 4 inches. On the boys side, Nolan Smith of Knoxville took the top prize with a full pull, a 29 feet, 8 inch pull, and a 30 feet, 6 inch final pull. In the 6-Year-Olds division, Kaiden Smith won with a pull of 35 feet, 3 inches.
