Mark Jacobs, founder of Reaching Higher Iowa, was in Pella yesterday speaking with local business leaders. Jacobs is considering joining six other Republicans who have announced their intentions to run for the U.S. Senate seat left vacant by Democratic Senator Tom Harkin announcing he would not seek reelection. State Representative Bruce Braley is the only Democrat that has announced intentions to run for the U.S. Senate seat.
