The National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum will be welcoming someone other than a driver into their confines on Friday. John Havick is the author of the book, “The Ghosts of NASCAR: The Harlan Boys and the First Daytona 500,” which is currently out on bookshelves. The book is about the early days of racing in the Midwest, and chronicles names like Iowan Johnny Beauchamp, Bill France and Lee Petty. Havick is scheduled to appear at the Hall of Fame and Museum Friday at 2:00 p.m.
