At approximately 11:30 Thursday morning a backhoe run by a member of the construction crew working on the Knoxville Streetscape project inadvertently cut into and partially severed the phone and internet cable that runs into the Marion County Courthouse. Offices in the courthouse were without internet and phone service. The Marion County Courthouse remained open, and available for local government services. Services were restored shortly before 4PM.
