With temperatures falling fast over the weekend, Justin Huebner with Two Rivers Cooperative in Pella reminds everyone that the first frost is just around the corner. Huebner doesn’t believe that South Central Iowa has much to worry about, since he says that most of the maturity has already occurred in our local corn and beans. Huebner adds that the first frost shuts down the maturity of the plant, and kills it unless maturity is complete.
