The 16 day partial government shutdown is over, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Lake Red Rock are happy to be back at work. Josh Conrad, Assistant Operations Manager at Lake Red Rock says that all facilities, recreation areas, the office, and the visitors center are reopened again. He also says that the 13 furloughed employees are also back to work. The Corps was operating with just four mission critical employees in charge of operating the dam and levee system, along with being in the area for facility and property life and safety protection.
