Pella used another quick start to beat Winterset 37-14 completing an undefeated regular season and securing home field advantage through the first three rounds of the playoffs. Pella put together 70 and 69 yard drives on their first two possessions, both finished off on touchdown runs by Noah Clayberg to grab the early lead. Winterset made it interesting late in the second quarter when they pulled within a touchdown, but Pella answered with an 84 yard drive and a Nathan Henry touchdown to take a 21-7 halftime lead and erased any hope the Huskies had. Coach Jay McKinstrey said that drive was key. It was another impressive ground attack by Pella, racking up 355 total yards, including 291 rushing yards led by Clayberg with 127 and Henry added 81 yards. Pella finished the regular season unscathed at 9-0 and claimed the top seed in the playoffs with a 6-0 District record. The Little Dutch will host Fairfield, the fourth seed from District 7, in the opening round of the Class 3A Playoffs Wednesday night.
