The Pella boys’ and girls’ basketball teams hit the courts this evening at home against Carlisle. The Lady Dutch are 1 – 0 on the season after beating Des Moines North last week, 91 – 21. Carlisle’s girls are coming off of a one-win season last year, and are 1 – 2 entering play tonight, with the one win coming against Newton. The Little Dutch had a narrow win against the Wildcats last season, and the Carlisle boys bring several seniors and juniors back this year. Coach Mark Core says Carlisle looks similar to his team and will be a challenge for them tonight.
