It was a decent day in the conference for both Twin Cedars and Melcher-Dallas in boys’ and girls’ basketball last night. Twin Cedars won the girls’ game 45 – 35 over Moulton-Udell, and the boys prevailed 69 – 48. Brittney Roby had 18 points while Allie Utterback grabbed nine rebounds to lead the way in the girls’ game. Dylan Springer played in his first game this season, and his presence was felt throughout the line-up; he scored 15 points, and Otis Roby had 20. The Saints’ girls won 37 – 25 over Iowa Christian Academy and the boys fell 73 – 60. Twin Cedars’ girls improve to 3 – 2, while the Saber boys have won their last three to get back above .500 to 3 – 2. Melcher-Dallas’ girls improve to 3 – 4 and the boys drop to 2 – 4. The Sabers are back in action today against Albia, while the Saints play at Mormon Trail this Tuesday.
