The Pella aquatics department has several events on the horizon. Pool manager Mallary Herring says that winter session swim lessons start on January 7th, with registration beginning this Wednesday. Cost is $24 for a resident with a pass, and $44 for residents without a pass. The first lifeguarding class will be January 20th through the 28th. You need to be 15 years or older to attend, more information is available on the city website or by calling Herring at 628-1882.
