The Marion County Sheriff’s Office has asked KNIA/KRLS to share the following information:

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office seeks the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in a series of home invasions/burglaries.

Any member of the public that has information concerning recent break-ins in the Marion County area is requested to call the Marion County Sheriff’s Office at 641-828-2220. Specifically, law enforcement is seeking any information concerning a silver/gray late 1990s to early 2000s Oldsmobile four door car with Iowa plates from Marion County. The public is also requested to provide any information concerning the driver of that vehicle. The person of interest is in his mid 30s to 40s, 5’11”-6’0” approximately 185- 215 pounds, short light brown hair, little to no facial hair, with a tattoo on his left arm that extends the length of his arm.

On December 18, 2013, in the early to mid afternoon this individual was observed wearing a short sleeved dark colored t-shirt. If you believe you saw someone meeting this description, please contact the Marion County Sheriff’s Office with the time and location and any other relevant information.

The public is advised to not approach this individual, but rather, to immediately call 9-1-1 or 641-828-2220.

The Sheriff’s Office reminds individuals to secure all valuables and firearms in their home and ensure that their doors are always locked.
