A 58 year old Mt. Pleasant man, Jerry Leroy Ammons, has been charged in Marion County Courts with Burglary 3rd, a class D felony, Theft 2nd, a class D felony, and Criminal Mischief 3rd, aggravated. The charges stem from an incident on September 4th of 2013 around 11:25pm when surveillance video shows the defendant using a crowbar to break into De Autowasplaats car wash in Pella. Once inside, the defendant stole items valued at approximately $4,100. Ammons remains in custody where he awaits his preliminary hearing set for next Friday at 1:30pm.
