Katrina Nelson, Public Relations Director at Knoxville Hospital and Clinics says the facility’s first baby of 2014 has arrived, delivered by Dr. Brent Hoehns, and it’s a girl. Skylynn Noelle, daughter of Bill and Gracie Betterton, of Pleasantville, arrived Wednesday January 15th at 9 pounds, 12.5 ounces and 20.5 inches long. Skylynn joins a half-brother, 5 year old Lincoln, who mom says isn’t quite sure what to think yet. The happy new mom says they are settling in and adjusting well, and Skylynn has lots of dark brown hair. She said she was very impressed by all the staff at the Knoxville Hospital and Clinics, and the nurses all seemed to know what was going on before they came in her room. She adds one thing that surprised everyone was before the baby was born, all the measurements and ultrasounds taken indicated a baby under 8 pounds, but she ended up being nearly 10 pounds.
