Marion County’s Board of Supervisors met yesterday. The first item of consideration was Knoxville Hospital and Clinics’ planned renovation. Representatives of the facility presented a request to the Board to use the government’s bonding capacity to help secure funding for the proposed $17million project. After a presentation by CEO Kevin Kincaid and a representative from Tom Mayfield from National Health Care Capital, the Board closed discussion pending further research and public hearings. Among items approved were contracts for seal coat projects and the Marion County Courthouse clock tower maintenance project.
