Next Tuesday, Pella and Pella Christian will meet on the basketball court as opponents, but will join forces off the court as allies. Their goal will be to raise as much money as possible for the American Cancer Society during their duel Coaches versus Cancer game. Today at 3pm is the deadline to buy a $10 t-shirt through sportspageteam.com with all proceeds donated in honor of the chosen school. Pella Christian Activities Director Brad Engbers tells KNIA/KRLS News that they were approached a few years back by Phil Hemming with Sports Page, with the idea of printing shirts with a common theme, but available in both schools colors with the idea of raising money off the sales to donate to charity. Pella Christian will host the varsity boys and girls games with the gals going first at 6pm, and the guys following at approximately 7:30pm.
