Two very good Albia teams are in Pleasantville this evening for a make-up doubleheader on the hardwood. The Trojans’ girls have tripled their win output from a year ago, but could perhaps register their biggest victory of the season with a win over the Lady Dees, who have a 9 – 2 record in their previous 11 contests. The Blue Demons started with a 10 – 1 record, but the boys have dropped their last four, with losses to Centerville, Knoxville, Chariton and Grinnell. There’s one kid they’ll have to absolutely slow down tonight, says Coach Tom Wilkins, and that’s Matt Baker. Wilkins says their defense needs to play better than they did against Martensdale – St. Mary’s on Tuesday. The girls’ game tips off tonight at 6:30 p.m.
