Recently, the Marion County Board of Health has undergone some changes. Supervisor Craig Agan resigned from his position on the board, and the medical director and board physician position was left open at the end of 2013 when Dr. Schaeffer’s term came to an end. Both positions have now been filled; Dr. Aaron Smith, DO, was appointed as the board physician and Medical Director, and Supervisor Mark Raymie was appointed to fill Agan’s vacated position. Appointments to the board of health are made by the Marion County Board of Supervisors.
