Drought Monitor 1-30

According to the latest U.S. Drought Monitor released yesterday, a little more than 1% of the state has regressed during the last week, falling back into the Abnormally Dry category. This is the second consecutive week with areas of Iowa falling back into that distinction, with the area affected totalling almost 10% of the state. Marion, Mahaska, and Jasper counties all remain in the severe drought category, where they have been for months.
