With the recent onslaught by the Emerald Ash Borer, many communities in Iowa are starting to make contingency plans for their Ash trees. Pella Parks and Recreation Manager, Chandler Nunnikhoven tells KNIA/KRLS News that the Marion County Extension Office will be holding two informational meetings to explain their plan on how to combat this destructive bug. The first meeting will be from 6:30pm to 7:30 pm on February 25th at the Pella Community Center on Union Street. The second meeting will be on February 27th, also from 6:30pm to 7:30 pm, at the Marion County Extension Office on North Iowa Street in Knoxville. Nunnikhoven encourages homeowners with Ash trees, or any other concerned citizens to attend this free meeting.
