At approximately 7 last night, multiple agencies were dispatched to a fire call at Knoxville’s Walmart. A source on the scene tells KNIA KRLS News that someone set two bean bag chairs on fire, and an associate was able to extinguish the fire. Fire crews were on scene with fans to aerate the building, as there was heavy smoke as a result of the fire. Walmart is currently closed while employees are on hand cleaning up. Management staff at the store this morning said they were not sure how long it would be closed, but he is hoping they can reopen soon. Overnight, another attempt to set fire to two storage sheds at Knoxville Farm and Home was discovered. Knoxville Police Chief Dan Losada tells KNIA KRLS News that two 13-year-old Knoxville boys have been arrested in the case, on charges including arson second degree and criminal mischief.
