At approximately 9 Monday morning, Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies and Knoxville Fire and Rescue were called to the scene of an altercation at the Marion County Courthouse. Sheriff Jason Sandholt says John D. Followill, who was being brought to the courthouse on a warrant, assaulted a bail bondsman, at the courthouse. Observers on the scene tell KNIA KRLS News that Followill kicked the bondsman and spat on him. Sheriff Sandholt says Followill has been booked into the Marion County Jail, on that previous warrant, and is now facing assault charges as well.
